“I’m three up from last year,” cried Mr. Staton as the teachers departed for the Holidays. “It really means a lot to me, you know, it’s like students care about me…. sort of.” A can of bubble gum, chinese decorations, chocolate truffles (he ate them in one sitting), and a gift certificate to Starucks! The man couldn’t be more excited.

After going to the lectures “American in the Age of Genocide,” and “Governance and Corruption: Myths and Realities,” students are excited at the opportunity to go to the “International Extravaganza” on Monday, 4:00 PM in the Westin Galleria. Even Jeremy Schaffer, Sixth Period, has expressed interest in going. Michael De Leon, Vladimir Zaitsev, David Soeng, and Dovo Luguvi attended both previous lectures. Other participants include Jenny Panzer, Chris Rehm, Zach Mathis, Jennifer Jansa, Katie Cage, Lettie Contreras, Oliver O’Neal, Verena Sturm, and Hilal Varinli who had it out with Samantha Powers over whether or not the Armenian Genocide was Genocide or Removal. “Extra Credit Opportunities are pwn life,” Zaitsev says.

Michelle Lewis, on Accident, Innovates new Activity

“I thought I was making a cartoon or something,” said Lewis, as she was unaware that she was turning in something with a whole new aesthetic. Mr. Staton was amazed that she followed the storyboard form to a tea. “We did storyboards last year in Sperotto’s class, and when I saw that we could do a comic strip, that was the only way I knew how to do it,” explained Lewis. When asked how she felt about her accomplishment, Lewis replied “It’s cool, I actually know what I’m doing instead of confusing myself understanding all these different activities.” Des Nolan, First Period, saw the Storyboard Guide on www.academicninjitsu.com and was immediately inspired. “I feel like that was the best thing for me because I didn’t want to write a poem and all that other stuff.” On familiar territory, Lewis shines, Nolan is confident and Staton is happy. Yippie.

Mr. Staton’s girlfriend uses “Big Stick Diplomacy” like Roosevelt, forces Staton to keep talent anonymous.

On Friday after Staton went home, he told his girlfriend of the “Hail Mexico” triumph by one of his students. She was immediately in peril to think that Staton had embarrassed one of his students. He didn’t hear the end of it until he had acquiesced, submitted, and agreed that she was right. Staton immediately changed the post so that it did not include the artists name. He also agreed that from now on he will consult students that create exemplary work before I put it on display and attach their name to it. “I didn’t think and for that I am sorry,” says Staton

A new precident set with the epic “Hail to Mexico”

All expectations are surpassed by the lyrics of Hail To Mexico.mp3, originally “Hail Mary,” a track by Tupac. “Sung like a true artist!” exclaimed Trent Beem, Second Period. “The rhyme had a lot of historical facts in it. If I was to listen to it over and over again I’d know the whole situation with Mexico,” said Krystal Soularie, 2nd Period. Mr. Staton had no comment as he was struck with disbelief that his “Gilded Age Rap” was trumped so soon and so completely. Chris Rehm, co-writer and producer of the Gilded Age Rap, was also bewildered by the impressive performance. “Fo Sho. That was Cray Cray,” sighed Rehm.

“This thing is awesome!” cried Mr. Staton, surrounded by his executive team - Vladimir Zaitsev, Web Designer, Chris Rehm, Creative Director, and Daniel Alejandro, Film Producer. “You’ve got the craziest website that any teacher has at this school, including the web teacher!” exclaimed Alejandro. “Fo Sho! That’s Cray Cray,” confirmed Rehm. “If you click on the colorful squares on the top, it gives a more visually fulfilling view,” explained Zaitsev.

Danielle Nelson, 6th Period, analyzed the song “For What it’s Worth” by Buffalo Springfield. It was written about the Vietnam War but she applied it to WWI.
